Billing
The plan you are on, the ceilings it sets and where you stand against them, trials, changing plan, invoices, and what a limit does and does not do.
Last revised
Workspace › Settings › Billing is read from the published catalog: what you see there is what you are charged. It shows your plan and its version, the current period and renewal, every ceiling the plan sets and where you are against it, and your invoices.
What a plan sets
| Ceiling | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Monitored products | Products with monitoring on for at least one marketplace. Archived products do not count. |
| Cadence | Scans per day per listing. See Monitoring cadence. |
| Seats | Active members. |
| Enforcement | Whether notices can be sent, and whether templates and sequences can be configured. Starter previews the workflow and cannot send. |
| Templates · stages · notices per month | The size of the template library, the maximum stages in a sequence, and the monthly notice allowance. The allowance is checked when a notice is queued and again when it is sent. |
| Evidence retention | How long a sealed package is retained on the standard class. |
What happens at a limit
Nothing is deleted and nothing is switched off. You cannot add more of the limited resource until you are back within the ceiling — for example, 1,040 of 1,000 products after a downgrade — and the Billing page shows exactly where you stand. Moving to a larger plan clears it immediately.
Trials
Self-serve plans include a fourteen-day trial with no card required. Your workspace is provisioned by our team and you receive an invitation; the Billing page shows the trial and when it ends. A trial is the plan you are trialling, capped: up to 50 monitored products at one scan a day, with the full evidence workflow, and every seat you need. Sending a notice is withheld during a trial — the enforcement screens are there to configure and preview, and nothing can leave until a plan is active. Nothing is charged until you choose a plan.
Changing plan
- Open Billing and choose the plan under Plans. The page says whether the change is an upgrade or a downgrade — decided from the two plans’ capabilities, not their position in the list — and whether everything you have fits inside the new plan.
- Read the confirmation. Nothing has changed until you confirm.
- Checkout and payment methods are handled on the payment provider’s hosted pages. MapProtector never receives, stores or logs a card number.
If a payment fails
A failed payment opens a fourteen-day grace period during which your plan’s entitlements are unchanged, so an expired card does not stop monitoring. The Billing page says how many days remain. If the payment is not recovered by the end of grace, the workspace is suspended: nothing is deleted, and access returns when the payment is settled.
Cancelling
Cancel from Billing at the end of the current period. The cancellation is scheduled, shown, and can be reversed before the period ends. Cancelling never deletes a product, an observation, an evidence package or a case.
