Notifications
What MapProtector tells you about, by email and in the product; how workspace defaults and personal choices combine; and which messages cannot be switched off.
Last revised
MapProtector tells the right people when something needs them, and stays quiet otherwise. Every notification type belongs to a category, has a default frequency, and can be set per person — except the security messages, which always go.
What you can be told about
| Category | Examples | Can be turned off |
|---|---|---|
| Account security | Password reset requested · password changed · two-factor enabled or disabled · access to a workspace removed | No |
| Workspace | Workspace invitation · someone accepted an invitation | Yes |
| Monitoring | New below-policy candidate · candidate confirmed or dismissed · case opened · case recurrence · price cured | Yes |
| Evidence | Package ready for review · package sealed · capture failed · integrity check failed | Partly |
| Compliance and integration | Amazon authorization failed · reauthorization required · repeated scan failures · a monitored product was not scanned | Yes |
| Billing | Trial ending · subscription activated · payment failed · payment recovered · plan changed | Yes |
| Daily digest | One summary of everything set to daily rather than immediate | Yes |
How a choice is resolved
System default, then the workspace default a Brand Admin sets, then your own choice. A personal choice always wins. Frequencies are immediately, in the daily digest, or off.
Setting your preferences
- Open Workspace › Settings › Notifications.
- Under Your alerts, choose a frequency per type. Where you have not chosen, the workspace default applies and is shown.
- A Brand Admin sets Workspace defaults on the same page: what everyone receives unless they have chosen otherwise.
- Recent notifications lists what has been sent to the workspace and what happened to each message; Suppressed addresses lists addresses operational mail has stopped going to after a bounce — security email is still attempted.
In the product
Workspace › Notifications is the in-product feed: the same events, readable without email, marked read when you open them.
