Getting started
Add authorized sellers
Declare the distributors and resellers you permit, so every observed storefront is matched against your Authorized Network instead of guessed at.
Last revised
The Authorized Network is the list of partners you have authorized to sell your products: distributors, retailers, your own storefront. Every seller observed on your listings is matched against it. A match is an authorized seller; a seller with no match is unknown until you decide about them.
Adding one distributor
- Open Configuration › Authorized network and choose Add distributor.
- Enter the Company, an optional account or contract reference, and the contact name, email and phone. The contact is who your team writes to; it is not used to send notices.
- Under the storefront, choose the Marketplace and enter the Amazon seller id and Storefront name if you know them. The seller id is what matching uses: a network entry that names a seller id is that storefront, on that marketplace. A storefront name is recorded for your team and is never matched on.
- Set the Status — Authorised, Inactive or Revoked — and the Authorised from and Authorised through dates if the relationship has a term.
- Add Tags and Notes as your program needs, and choose Add distributor.
Importing a list
For a network of any size, import a CSV from Authorized network › Import. A company_name column is required; the Columns panel lists the rest. Validate, read the row report, then apply. Existing entries are updated by seller id or company name rather than duplicated.
Matching
Matching runs when a seller is first observed and whenever you choose Match now on the network page. The page shows each declared partner with its match, and a list of observed sellers to decide about — storefronts seen on your listings that matched nothing. From there you classify a seller directly, or add them to the network.
| Standing | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Authorized | The seller matched an Authorized Network entry, or your team classified them as authorized. |
| Unknown | Observed, matched nothing, and not yet classified. The default for every new seller. |
| Unauthorized | Your team classified the seller as not authorized. |
| Formerly authorized | A classification your team set for a relationship that has ended. |
| Brand internal | Your own storefront. |
| Exempt | A seller your program deliberately does not act on. |
Authorization and compliance are separate
Whether a seller is authorized is what your brand says. Whether their price is below MAP is what the marketplace showed. The two are recorded separately and never combined into a score: an authorized distributor below MAP is a conversation with a partner, and it is the most common real case.
