Amazon connectivity

When Amazon connectivity is enabled for your workspace, MapProtector monitors marketplace pricing on its own. Connecting your own Amazon seller account is optional: it grants authorized data access — never a shared password — that your organization can withdraw at any time, from inside the product or from Amazon’s side.

When it is available

Amazon connectivity is enabled for eligible workspaces as part of onboarding. Until it is enabled for yours, Configuration › Amazon says so and nothing on that screen needs your attention. Once it is enabled, the screen walks you through granting the authorization; follow the in-product instructions, which reflect exactly what your workspace supports.

What MapProtector reads, and what it does not

• It reads the offers on your listings — price, seller, condition, fulfillment and Buy Box — and the seller information associated with each offer, in the marketplaces your organization approved.
• It does not read orders, customers, inventory, messages or financial data, and it never asks for your Amazon password.

Who can enable it

Granting or withdrawing the authorization needs the Brand Admin role and a fresh second factor, and the sign-in for the Amazon account that owns the listings. Only the person who holds that sign-in can give the consent; MapProtector staff cannot do it for you.

Testing, reconnecting and withdrawing

Test connection confirms the authorization still works and records Last verified. If a test fails, the screen says so with the reason MapProtector can state, and Reconnect repeats the authorization from the beginning. Withdrawing the authorization does not stop monitoring, and existing observations, cases and evidence are kept.
