Violation candidates
A violation candidate is a below-policy measurement waiting for a person. Which observations qualify, which do not and why, and how the queue is organized.

A violation candidate is one observation the rules engine measured below policy and that passed every eligibility gate. It is a measurement a person is being asked to look at — not an accusation, and not yet a case. Nothing about a candidate is decided until someone confirms or dismisses it.
What qualifies
Every gate returns a named reason rather than a yes or no, so “why is this below-policy offer not in my queue” is answered by a fact.

| Seller | The source did not identify the seller. A candidate names a seller, and nothing here can honestly name one. |
| Product | The product is Monitor only or Archived. Discontinued products still qualify — a liquidator below MAP on a discontinued line is a common real pattern. |
| Target | Monitoring is switched off for the target. |
| Price | The price was not actually read. |
| Coverage | Coverage was insufficient or unknown. Partial coverage does not hold an observation back: a seller seen below policy was seen. |
| Freshness | The observation is more than seven days old. |
The queue
Compliance › Violations lists candidates one line each: the seller with its authorization standing beside it, the product, the observed price, the applicable MAP, the gap in money and as a percentage of MAP, the coverage of the observation, when it was observed, and its status.
- Filter by status, seller, and Buy Box only; the URL carries the filter, so a view can be pasted into a ticket and opened by a colleague exactly as it was.
- Sort by newest, largest gap, largest percentage gap, or repeat seller.
- Authorization is a column beside the finding, never folded into it. An authorized distributor below MAP and an unknown storefront below MAP look different in the queue because they are different conversations.
Statuses

| New | Nobody has looked yet. |
| Under review | A reviewer has claimed it. |
| Confirmed below policy | A person confirmed the measurement. A case was opened or extended. |
| Dismissed | A person dismissed it, with a reason. |
| Superseded | A later candidate for the same seller and product replaced it. |
Confirmed, dismissed and superseded are terminal. A candidate is never re-reviewed; the correction path is a new candidate from a new observation, which the next scan produces anyway.
