Review a notice
Reading a prepared notice before approving it: the rendered document, the facts behind it, the eligibility result, and the case context on the same page.
Last revised
The notice page is built so that a reviewer can answer one question without leaving it: is what this document says true, and do we want to say it? Everything the answer depends on is on the page.
What the page shows
| Section | What to check |
|---|---|
| The rendered notice | The subject and body exactly as the seller will receive them, from the frozen snapshot. Read it as the seller will. |
| Recipient and sender | The seller contact the notice goes to, and the verified From and reply-to it leaves from. |
| The facts | Seller and standing, product and ASIN, observed price, MAP, gap, observed at, policy version, the sealed package cited. |
| Eligibility | Every blocker, or nothing blocking. A blocked notice cannot be approved. |
| Approval | Whether an approval exists, who gave it, and whether it still stands. |
| Responses | What the seller has said back on this period, if a response has been recorded. |
| Timeline | Everything recorded against the breach period, oldest first. |
Reading it well
- Check the seller’s standing against what you know. A notice to a seller your team has since authorized is a notice you may not want to send; the standing is shown beside the finding for exactly this reason.
- Check the cited observation’s date and coverage. A stale or partially covered observation is caught by the gate, but a reviewer should know what the seller will see.
- Check the stage. Stage 2 of 3 to a seller who has not replied to stage 1 is a different decision from stage 1.
- Check the policy version. If the MAP changed since the period opened, the interlock will say so.
Who reviews
Anyone with enforcement: read — every role — can open a notice and read it. Only a Brand Admin can approve; see Approval. A Compliance Manager can submit a draft for review, cancel a notice before it is sent, and place or lift a hold — all from the notice and case pages; see Prepare a notice.
